Amy Carlson

 


Amy Lynn Carlson was born on July 7th, 1968. She is an American actress best known for her performances in Blue Bloods as Linda Reagan, Alex Taylor as well as Josie Watts on the NBC soap show Another World.


 


 Childhood and early life


 Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois in DuPage County Illinois which is near Chicago. Her family was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), teachers in the school. Carlson is of Swedish descent , and has roots in Smaland.


 


 Career


 1986-92: College and beginning of career


 She first came to Hollywood as a background actress in the film Lucas with Charlie Sheen and Corey Haim. She later joined her older sister Betsy (Knox College) in Galesburg.
