Bernadette Peters

 Bernadette (nee Lazzara) Peters is an American singer and actress. Over her six-decade career she has been featured on television, films and musical theatre. She has also performed as a solo artist and recorded. Critically acclaimed Broadway performer She has earned seven Tony Awards nominations, winning two (plus an honorary award) and nine Drama Desk Award nominations. She received three. Four of the Broadway casting albums in which she has performed have been awarded Grammy Awards.



 



 Many believe Peters as the best Stephen Sondheim interpreter. She is particularly well-known for her performances on Broadway, such as in Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (1884), Song and Dance (1885), Into the Woods with George (1987), The Goodbye Girl (1993), Annie Get Your Gun (1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2010), Follies (2009), and Hello, Dolly (2018).
